Let’s take a look at some of our favorite easy slow cooker recipes so you can try them for yourself:
1. Beef Stew
Beef stew is easily one of the best slow cooker recipes for a weeknight and will definitely serve you for several days. First, you have to make a mixture in a frying pan that consists of celery, carrot, onion, garlic, and thyme. You’ll eventually add the tomato paste, wine, and mustard.
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, salt, and pepper. Trim your roast and cut it into cubes before placing it in the mixture along with the mushrooms. Combine the mixture, mushrooms, and roast into the slow cooker with the wine mixture. Add beef broth and bay leaf.
On high, cook it for roughly 5 hours or until the beef is to your liking. Before serving, add the peas and parsley, as well as any other seasoning you want. Store in the freezer or refrigerator for leftovers.
2. Pulled Pork
Any barbeque-lover is going to appreciate this easy-to-make pulled pork recipe. You can enjoy it however you want, but we prefer it on a toasted brioche bun. To get started with this recipe, place onions and garlic on the bottom of the cooker evenly. Pour broth over top.
In a small bowl, mix together the sugar, chili powder, measured salt, cumin, and cinnamon. Rub the mixture all over the pork and place it on top of the onions and garlic in the slow cooker. If on high, cook for 6-8hrs. If on low, cook for 8-10hrs.
Once tender, remove the pork and pull it apart into stripped pieces. Strain the liquid from the slow cooker and return the solids to the slow cooker. Combine the barbeque sauce and pulled pork into the slow cooker. Serve as you wish.
3. Chicken Wings
Whether its game night or you have a strange craving you need to satisfy, there’s nothing better than chicken wings on a weeknight. Better yet, we have super easy slow cooker recipes that can satisfy this craving.
First, add melted butter, oregano, onion and garlic powders, soy sauce, tomato paste, liquid smoke, and hot sauce to the slow cooker. Whisk everything before adding the chicken wings and covering in the sauce. Cook for 4 hours.
After 4 hours, place the chicken wings on a baking sheet and bake for 30 minutes at 400°F. While those finish baking, place the sauce in a saucepan and set it to medium heat. Add sugar, bring to a boil, and then simmer.
