Grilled Tofu Skewers Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 16 ounces firm tofu, drained and pressed
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 red bell pepper, cut into chunks
  • 1 green bell pepper, cut into chunks
  • 1 red onion, cut into chunks
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Cut the tofu into 1-inch cubes.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, maple syrup, rice vinegar, sesame oil, grated ginger, and minced garlic.
  3. Place the tofu cubes in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over the top. Let the tofu marinate for at least 30 minutes, flipping the cubes halfway through.
  4. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  5. While the grill is heating, prepare the skewers by threading the tofu cubes, bell peppers, and red onion onto them. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Grill the skewers for 8-10 minutes, flipping them once, until the tofu is lightly charred and the vegetables are tender.
  7. Remove the skewers from the grill and serve hot.
