Hickory furniture is built from real hickory branches and rustic slats — the bark-on, natural-form wood construction associated with Adirondack lodges, national park lodges, and traditional American mountain and lake cabin aesthetics. A&L's hickory line is handbuilt in the USA by Amish craftsmen who have worked with this material for generations. Each piece has natural variation in grain and character because it uses real hickory wood rather than processed lumber.

The Rustic Hickory finish preserves the natural bark and wood tones for the most authentic lodge aesthetic. Natural Finish and Walnut Finish options apply a smooth coating for a more refined look while maintaining the hickory character.
