The A&L Furniture Classic Porch Rocker is a timeless Amish-crafted cedar front porch rocking chair — built in Gap, Pennsylvania from genuine western red cedar by craftsmen who have been making outdoor furniture by hand since 1984. Clean slat-back profile, wide armrests, and the gentle curved base runners that define the classic American front porch rocker. Available in 9 stain and finish options.
This is a single chair. For a set of two, add two to your cart or consider our porch rocker collection for all available styles and sizes.
Western red cedar is one of the best naturally weather-resistant woods available — resistant to moisture, insects, and decay without chemical treatment. A cedar porch rocker develops rich tones when stained and is appropriate for covered porches and semi-exposed applications. Like all outdoor wood furniture, periodic sealing or staining (every 2–3 years in most climates) maintains appearance and extends life. In dry climates or sheltered covered porches, maintenance intervals can be longer.
A rocking chair uses curved base runners and produces a tilting forward-and-back motion with floor contact throughout. A glider chair uses a pivot-arm mechanism, keeps the seat level, and doesn't mark the floor. For composite decks or painted porch floors, gliders are often preferred. For traditional front porch character, the rocker is the classic choice. See our complete glider vs. rocker guide →
