The Little Cottage Co. Value Gable Shed – Pre-Cut Kit is the straightforward, budget-friendly way to add real wood storage to your yard. Built in the USA with a classic gable roofline, this shed ships with every board precut to length, labeled, and primed — so there's no guesswork and no extra cutting on site, just assembly.
Kit Specifications
- Available in 17 sizes, from 8'x8' up to 12'x24'
- Sidewall height: 6'3", consistent across every size
- Exterior peak height ranges from about 8'0.5" on 8'-wide sheds to 8'10.5" on 12'-wide sheds
- Classic gable roof at approximately a 5/12 pitch
- Double door opening: 48"W x 72"H on 8'-wide sheds; 60"W x 72"H on 10' and 12'-wide sheds
- Siding: 3/8" LP SmartSide panel siding with 8" on-center grooves, primed and treated to resist fungal decay and insects
- Roof sheathing: 7/16" OSB
- Wall framing: 2x4 studs on 24" centers
- Pre-Cut construction — every piece of lumber and siding arrives cut to length and labeled; you assemble each wall from individual pieces (unlike panelized kits, which ship pre-built)
- Floor is not included standard; an optional DIY Floor Kit (5/8" OSB flooring over pressure-treated 2x4 framing, 16" on center) is available
- Windows are not standard but can be added
This is the entry-level tier of the Little Cottage Co. lineup, and the trade-off for the lower price is wider stud spacing (24" vs. 16" on center) and thinner siding than the Panelized "Classic" barns — still solid, code-typical shed construction, just a lighter-duty build. Remember that shingles, drip edge, and exterior paint are purchased separately, and the floor is an optional upgrade rather than included. It's a great fit for a straightforward garden shed, mower storage, or general backyard storage where you want real wood construction without the premium price tag.

Returns & warranty
Most items can be returned within 14 days of delivery in original, unused condition with all original packaging and an RMA number issued by us. A few product types aren't eligible for return -- custom or made-to-order items, cushions with a specified fabric selection, and any product that has been assembled, installed, or used. Manufacturer warranty documentation is included with each product.
