LuxCraft Comfort Rocker vs. Classic Traditional vs. Grandpa's Rocker: Which Poly Rocking Chair Should You Buy?

The Porch Swing Store · 2 min read

LuxCraft makes three poly rocking chairs that most porch buyers end up choosing between: the Comfort Rocker, the Classic Traditional Rocker and the Grandpa's Rocker. All three are made in the USA from recycled poly lumber, so they will not rot, splinter or need painting. The differences come down to size, back style and how they ship.

LuxCraft Comfort Rocker

The LuxCraft Comfort Rocker is built from high-density recycled poly lumber with stainless steel hardware, handcrafted in LuxCraft's Ohio Amish Country workshop. Its back is contoured to fit the lower back, which is why it is the one most people choose for long evenings on the porch. It is covered by a limited lifetime residential warranty and a 5-year limited commercial warranty, and it comes in 20+ colors. See the Comfort Rocker.

LuxCraft Classic Traditional Rocker

The Classic Traditional rocker is built by Amish crafters in an Ohio furniture shop and has a seat 2 inches wider than the Comfort Rocker. Choose it if you prefer a traditional slatted porch-rocker look. See the Classic Traditional Rocker.

LuxCraft Grandpa's Rocker

Designed like an old hickory rocker but made from low-maintenance poly, the Grandpa's Rocker is the tallest of the three at 46 inches. Note that this model ships by LTL freight, so the delivery address needs to be reachable by a semi tractor-trailer. See the Grandpa's Rocker.

Which one should you choose?

  • Most comfortable for long sitting: the Comfort Rocker, thanks to its contoured lumbar support.
  • Widest seat: the Classic Traditional Rocker.
  • Tallest back and old-fashioned look: Grandpa's Rocker.
