Unlike the outdoor cedar and yellow pine swing beds in the A&L lineup, the Mission Hanging Daybed is finished for indoor use — available in honey, cherry, asbury, rich tobacco, and other interior wood finishes. It's equally at home on a screened porch, sunroom, or as an indoor hanging bed in a master bedroom or guest room.
The Mission (Arts & Crafts) style is characterized by horizontal emphasis, visible joinery, and restrained decoration — a reaction against Victorian excess that remains one of the most enduring furniture design movements in American history. The Mission Hanging Daybed brings this aesthetic to the hanging bed form.
