The saltbox silhouette is one of the oldest, most recognizable shapes in American building — a steep-fronted roof that sheds snow and rain while giving the structure a distinctive, front-heavy profile you won't get from a standard gable shed. The Classic Saltbox brings that look to a backyard storage kit, with a front overhang that shelters the entry doors and a roofline that reads as intentional architecture rather than a box with a lid. Like the rest of the Little Cottage Co. Classic Series, it's Amish-built in the USA and delivered as a panelized kit — sided, primed wall sections you fasten together rather than lumber you have to frame from scratch.

• Distinctive saltbox roofline: 75" front sidewall, 64.5" back sidewall, 5/12 roof pitch with a sheltering front overhang
• 4' double doors (48"W x 72"H) on 8'-wide units; 5' double doors (60"W x 72"H) on 10'-12'-wide units
• One 18" x 22" window with decorative shutters on 8x8 and 8x10 sizes; two windows on 8x12 and larger
• Panelized wall construction — pre-fastened, primed wall sections with 16"-on-center wall studs; no cutting required
• 7/16" OSB roof sheathing
• Optional floor kit available: pressure-treated 2x4 framing at 16" on center with 5/8" CDX plywood decking, cut to match your shed's footprint
• Available in 17 sizes, from 8x8 up to 12x24

The Classic Saltbox is a strong fit anywhere you want storage that also earns its keep visually — along a fence line, next to a garden, or as the anchor of a backyard layout. Assembly follows the same panelized approach as the rest of the Classic Series: fasten the pre-built wall sections together, add the precut roof trusses, and finish with shingles, drip edge, and paint (all purchased separately). Most builders with basic tools and a helper finish in a weekend.
